A.T School of Dance has been a part of the local community since 1996. The Principal, Karen Speers, has combined a full time teaching career in dance and drama at a secondary school as well as theprivate sector for over 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree as well an Associate Teaching Diploma in Cecchetti ballet with the ISTD. Along with her dedicated, enthusiastic staff the school offers a wide range of dance genres and a thriving musical theatre school.
Each class is taught by either Miss Michelle Shuttleworth (Principal) or Leanne O'Brien, both qualified (AISTD) and professional dance teachers under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing,(recognised by the Government). Who is it for? Toddlers, children, young people and adults! From special pre-school classes to adult tap, everyone is invited to try out our classes for Free. Whatever your age, fitness or experience, whether it is for fun or for a career, there is a class for you.
At GSPA, we offer classes from 3 years old all the way through to major vocational level in ISTD Ballet & Tap. In addition to these we offer a variety of technical classes and performance basedclasses. Our premises offer 2 fully equipped dance studios with mirrors, barres and harlequin dance flooring. We also have a smaller music room for private vocal coaching and musical instrument lessons. The reception area provides room for parents or students in between classes.
In short: yes you can. You'll know from experience that dancing can leave you short of breath. An hour in a club, in a dance class or simply jiving around your own living room can burn a lot ofcalories and work muscles that you wouldn't ordinarily use. It's inevitable, then, that regular dance activity.
We don't expect you to sign up for the whole term straight away, why not book a 3 week trial session. Our aim is to teach professional technique and style while keeping the emphasis of our classes onfun and enjoyment. And if your little one loves dancing, we also run dance parties. Perfect for both girls and boys aged from 3 to 12 years old, our fun packed parties have proved very popular with children, and their parents.
As the name suggests, BollyStreet is a literal combination of Bollywood Dance and Street Dance. However, unlike many other dance fusion acts, we keep our dance styles in the their RAW FORMS. The greatthing about combining these two styles is that each class is packed full of energy! The big explosive moves from Bollywood Dance and the attitude from Street Dance has created a very unique, fun and exciting dance class!
The Stephanie Ledger School of Dancing was established in 1972 by Stephanie Ledger. The school offers ballet classes for children aged 3 and upwards. The emphasis of the classes is on developing dancetechnique in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Unlike many schools, all our classes offer live music from our highly qualified pianists which ensures the pupils develop their musicality.
The Anne Gale School of Dance prides itself on the excellent training in dance that the students receive whilst attending classes with us. It has been the established school in Luton for over fortyyears and now also holds classes in the nearby village Barton-le-clay. Dance JAM are a company based in Sunderland who provide dance classes to schools, academies and community venues across the whole of the North East. We provide an array of disciplines including StreetDance, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical and many others. Established in August 2012, we have already secured many contracts within different schools in the area.
Our school's main aim is that all it's pupils should enjoy their dancing, being encouraged to do their best at all times in class or on stage, TV, in a festival or in one of our shows. Pupils studythe RAD ballet syllabus & ISTD Tap, Modern and Jazz. Pupils are encouraged to take examinations in these dance studies, though it is not complusory. We enter pupils for festivals and of course all students may participate in our superb shows which we run every 2-3 years.

Wehave 34 classes running each week in Prudhoe. We pride ourselves on the quality tuition we deliver which is evident in our consistently high exam results. We are part of the International Dance Teachers Association and all our teaching staff hold qualifications with the board.
At our purpose built dance studio our classes in ballroom and latin dance styles (as seen on Strictly Come Dancing) are very popular. In these you will experience the ballroom dances waltz, foxtrot,quickstep and tango and the latin dances cha cha, rumba, jive and samba, starting with the basics and progressing to choreographed routines, even with no previous dancing experience.
Principal since she opened the school in 1982. Trained locally at her mother's school in Hastings, The DeHaviland Dance and Drama Studio. In recent years has furthered her training at the The Centreunder Karen King and recently Deborah Capon College and has been an ISTD Modern and Tap examiner for eight years examining all over the UK and abroad. The school under her leadership has gained many successes in festivals and competitions and has performed in London West End theatres.
The school was founded in 1981 by Helen Leonard. It is fully registered by the Royal Academy of Dance and provides highly qualified tuition in the R.A.D. syllabus from Pre-Primary to Advanced. Balletclasses in West Bridgford are held at St Giles' and St Paul's Church Halls and at the Nottingham Emmanuel School and also at Edwalton Church Hall. The Pre-school classes are designed to stimulate the children's imagination, musical awareness and general co-ordination.
