
We are members of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing, the longest running dancing association in the world. The BATD is a recognised Dance Association and is represented on the BritishDance Council, the Theatre Dance Council International, the Central Council of Physical Recreation and are Corporate Members of the CNET. All our classes are held in a purpose built and fully equipped dance studio located in Ottery St Mary, Devon.

Closing date for applications is June 12th and auditions will be held in Plymouth on June21st. Associate classes are held in Plymouth and offer a class in classical technique by an Elmhurst teacher in the Elmhurst style. The classes are designed to compliment a students regular ballet class.

Welcome to the home page of Just 4 Funk Productions, the only company in Devon dedicated to Breaking and original street dance styles. We run dance activities and workshops in schools, as well as running classes for the general public at the Exeter Phoenix and other venues in Exeter.

The Academy produces its own full scale production show at the Queen's Theatre, Barnstaple every two years. Every pupil from age 4+ is invited to take part and many groups from the show are thenentered into the North Devon Performing Arts Festival held in October each year.

The Castle School of Dancing in Torquay is one of the oldest dancing establishments in the area with a rich and colourful history. Its home is in a Victorian Villa on Castle Road, built in an elevatedposition with stunning views across the town centre. The WDSA (UK) was established in 2006 as the UK National Governing Body for wheelchair dance sport and wheelchair dancing within the UK, for those who would otherwise be excluded from dancing. The aimof the WDSA (UK) is to promote and develop wheelchair dancing as a sport and leisure activity across the country, to raise the standard of instruction and competition in the UK and internationally at all levels.

Wightmore School of Dance aims to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for children and adults who love to dance purely for enjoyment, alongside those who wish to progress into professionalschools. Classes are offered from 2 and a half years to adult.

Our teachers follow an ethos of fun and enjoyment which we feel are the key elements to the success of the dance school, together with a structured teaching policy enabling the potential of all pupilsto be recognised. The exams are optional but encouraged enabling a sense of achievement to be gained. Parents do not attend the classes on a weekly basis but are invited regularly to observe their child's progress.

Linda started teaching in various locations around Plymouth in the early 90's. In 1992 she was asked by Plymouth City Centre to teach classes at Eggbuckland Community College and Swathmore AdultEducation Centre. Her classes proved to be so popular that more and more were added until eventually it was decided that HHDC needed its own permanent premises.

Welcome to the website for the Alison Axford Theatre School. We are based on our own premises behind the Palace Theatre in Paignton, Devon. We offer classes at varying levels, from "once a week"pupils through to professional level students who wish to go on to a vocational training. At the moment, we offer classes for all ages in RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern, Tap and Jazz, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Body Conditioning and Street / Hip Hop, as well as adult Tap classes.

I would like to welcome you to the Unlimited Dance Company. I hope that if you choose to join our dance school you will soon feel part of this friendly school. We encourage all our students to worktogether and support each other from our very youngest to our eldest students. The Unlimited Dance Company was set up 8 years ago and has gone from strength to strength.

Sidmouth Ballet School and subsequently East Devon Dance Academy were founded in 1981, and from the 50 pupils it first started with now has in excess of 600. Most of our students come to classes justas a hobby and means of exercise, but there are those who want to make dancing their career whether it's on stage or to teach.

The school encourages pupils to take part in three South West dance festivals each year, which qualify for the local semi-finals and London finals. There are also classes available for novicecompetitors (children who have never danced or competed on stage before) in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Song & Dance solos, duets, trios and group dances.

It is hugely succesful with both younger and older children in and around the local area and some even further afield. Since opening in September we now have over 80 students at the Academy with itconstantly growing. We enjoy weekly classes in which we work on Dance routines to various pieces of music in which we will later perform in shows, festivals, carnivals and competitions.

They are our best Royal Academy of Dance ballet results yet with a 100% pass rate with all Pre-Primary students successfully gaining the Class Award and students from Grade 1 and above achieving aMerit (Silver) or Distinction (Gold). The Music Mill is celebrating after being awarded this wonderful shield at Torbay Festival. The adjudicator chose the Evita 21 years and under song and dance group to receive the Endeavor Award out of all the performances over the 2 week Torbay Festival Competition!

A Barn Dance (or 'English Ceilidh') is a great way of celebrating your special occasion. Let our lively, Devon-based ceilidh band entertain you with a wide range of 'up-beat' folk music, while our'caller' leads you through the steps. You can't go wrong? Oh yes you can - and all the more fun for everyone! If you've been to a barn dance before, you'll know that this really is the way for all your guests to enjoy themselves. No-one need get left out and mixing is guaranteed.

My name is Miranda, I am a Qualified Fitness Instructor in both group exercise classes and gym. I have a dance background and have been teaching Pole since 2007 bringing pole fitness to North Devon! Ihave trained with some of the worlds top polers, including Pantera, Jenyne Butterfly, Alesia Vazmitsel and Maxine Betts, Daniel Rosen to name a just a few! I was a finalist in the Uk Professional Pole Chamionships 2012 and semi-finalist 2011.
