Miss Lorna Leighton started dancing at the tender age of two in her home town of Glasgow. She attended The Dance School of Scotland, finishing her studies on a three year full time course here in Nottingham.

The Joan Duesbury School of Dance began teaching people to dance over 50 years ago, with principal Joan Duesbury. Later she was joined by her daughter Louise who then married Robert Aldred andtogether they formed the Duesbury Aldred Dance Centre. Venus Pole Dancing has been teaching women the modern art of pole dance through a series of beginner, intermediate and advanced classes since 2006 and has taught and inspired over 5,000 women inNottingham alone! Midlands Academy of Dance & Drama (known in the industry as MADD) is located in Nottingham, which is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, diverse and friendly City steeped in history and culture. The Rollo Academy of Dancing first opened its doors in January 1974. The Principal, Susan Rollo, began teaching with just three students.
