My dream. Sapnay began with one vision, one dream. For 13 years I had a passion and desire to open my own school, but as I always say when the time is right it will happen and hence now Sapnay is a well-established Dance School based in Harrow, Northwood, Kingsbury and launching more branches in other parts of London. My passion to run my own school and making a difference to someone else's life came with the full support of my dear husband and two wonderful children Prabhleen and Manraj.
Welcome to The London Swing Dance Society, your one stop shop for all things swing dance! We're the UK's biggest and longest running swing dance club, on a mission to bring the magic of swing dance to the masses. Our founder, acclaimed dance champion Simon Selmon, was inspired to start up the society in 1986 after a visit to the swing dance clubs of New York, and he's been getting the big city up and lindy hopping ever since.
The Lorna Clark School of Dance has been established for over 40 years and is located on the borders of South Harrow and Eastcote. The About Us page gives all the details of the styles of Dance that we teach and the RAD and ISTD Examinations that we offer.
Most of the classes are held at Ruislip Manor Methodist Church on Torrington Road in Ruislip. The venue boast a small car park with space for 9 cars along with ample free on street parking in the surrounding roads. At the Methodist Church, our dance spaces comprise of 2 large bright studio's. When two classes are running at the same time, we alternate, on a termly basis, between these studios so that all students get a chance to dance and perform in the larger space.
Pinner Theatre Dance was established in 1978 and has an excellent reputation in the area for its high quality of teaching. We currently have classes in Pinner, Ruislip, Eastcote and Hatch End. The school aims to give pupils enjoyment and to build confidence. Dance examinations can be taken with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D.) examining board in tap, modern, jazz and ballet.
We welcome students of all ages, abilities and experience - whether they have ambitions to dance or act professionally or simply want to take part as a hobby. Our carefully chosen teachers are qualified with the ISTD, RAD and IDTA up to licentiate level, and provide fun, professional, nurturing classes to inspire their students and bring out their full potential.
In 1999, the school changed its name to the Beverley School of Performing Arts, with Drama and Jazz classes being added to the curriculum. The syllabi of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) are studied in Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre and Jazz, and students are prepared for examinations from Pre-primary to Advanced level. The LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) syllabus is followed in the drama section.
Festivals and Competitions provide a challenging and highly competitive arena for the pupils to hone their skills. I was offered then the opportunity of taking over another school in another area so I decided to merge all three to where we are today, to bigger and better premises, running classes 6 days a week, with over 200 pupils.
