
The school Principal, Gillian Quinn, has been honoured with an MBE for her services to dance. The principal teacher at Gosforth is Hilary Anderson who also holds a B.Phil (Honours) in Ballet andContextual Studies and has an RAD Teachers Diploma. Licentiate Diploma ISTD, Diploma from the London College of Dance and Drama, Associate ISTD in Ballet Modern, Greek and National and is a member of the IDTA Tap Modern and Ballet branches.

Dance JAM are a company based in Sunderland who provide dance classes to schools, academies and community venues across the whole of the North East. We provide an array of disciplines including StreetDance, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical and many others. Established in August 2012, we have already secured many contracts within different schools in the area.

Jade Harrison School of Dance opened in March 2006 and is situated in the heart of New York village in North Shields. NDC is a family business which was established in 1932. It is now in the hands of the third generation of the family, along with a large team of teachers lead by our qualified and passionateprincipals. We are very proud of our team, many of whom were pupils. They are highly qualified in dance, vocal training and drama and are delighted to share their knowledge with the dance centre pupils.

I started my ballet training at the age of 11 at the Affleck Academy of Dancing where I remained for 15 years, during this time I studied classical ballet up to Intermediate level before embarking onmy teacher training. In 2003 I graduated from Northumbria University with a BA Honours degree in Performance and finally gained my IDTA Associate dance teaching qualification in 2006.

Bellydance Moves is a fantastic class based in Sunderland, filled with fun loving friendly women of all ages, shapes and sizes! A low-impact class that tones and sculpts your body whilst having fun!We dance Egyptian style as well as Bollywood and Hawaiian! Whilst in class I supply you with gorgeous jingling belts, flowing veils, cymbals and dancing fans. Its half the fun! I've also got grass skirts, colourful leis and sparkling bindis for you all.

Amanda currently employs 8 members of staff, 6 of the 8 have been trained by Amanda from young children in the Dance School, and some as Adults in College. 6 have been trained from young ages in theDance School, and 1 was a Teacher at the Dance School Amanda trained at. All of our Teachers are Professional, DBS Checked, Fully Insured, First Aid and Safeguarding & Protecting Children Certified.

Northern Pole Dance is the leading school for Pole Dance Fitness and Aerial Yoga in the North East with a well proven track record. In January 2003 the Stacy McMullen School of Dance was established at Hedworthfield Community Centre, Jarrow offering classes in Tap & Stage. The school had approximately 5 pupils when it firstopened. By the end of the schools first year they had over 40 pupils attending classes on a regular basis. With the schools successful 1st year Stacy's sister Emma decided to come on board and they were then able to offer classes in ballet and disco.

Romero School of Dance was established in 2009 and offers dance classes in Classical sequence, Ballroom, Latin and Salsa to both Children and Adults. Romero School of Dance is ran by Lindsay Romerowho has twenty five years of dance experience. Lindsay began her dancing career at the age of three and participated in Ballet, Tap, Stage and Disco but when she discovered Ballroom and Latin at the age of five it was this style of dance that she excelled in.

We have 2 new class starting January 2015 at North East Dance Studio, Sunderland. The classes will be extra Ballet & Body Conditioning for Junior/Senior Saturday Dancers. All Dancers should wearcorrect uniform for this class, it is important for ballet that you are wearing Leotards, Tights & Correct Shoes.

At Emanay School of Dancing we believe that learning to dance should be a fun and enjoyable experience. Snow White will premiere at Northern Stage in October 2015, followed by a national tour.

Here at the Gillian Quinn School of Dance we provide classes in Theatre Dance for all ages and standards from three year olds to professional students. We hold dance examinations in the disciplines ofclassical ballet, modern jazz, tap, national character, folk and theatre craft, which are assessed by the Royal Academy of Dance, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and the International Dance Teachers Association.
