The syllabus followed is that of the British Theatre Dance Association, which is recognised by the Joint Examining Board and is a member of the Council for Dance Education and Training. Classes are taught every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at the Deanery School, Fox Hollies Road, Walmley, Sutton Coldfield. There is a large car park and changing facilities.
Results are in: 100% pass rate with 95% achieving the top two marks of Merit and Distinction. Pupils were examined in graded Ballet and Tap, as well as mixed Rosette Awards. Outstanding achievements, congratulations to all! 100% pass rate, including 54% awarded the top mark of Honours. Pupils were examined in Freestyle, Dance Exercise, as well as Rosette Awards in Tap and Ballet. Huge congratulations to all and many thanks to our teachers who helped them to perform so well.
Our core subjects are Ballet, Tap and Jazz and are all taught to exam standard. Pupils are grouped in similar age classes and are focused towards taking exams as we aim for continual personal development. We can also offer professional qualifications for our older students. Ballet Pointe work is available for our more senior students. The pupils are entered for examinations with the Professional Teachers of Dancing (PTD).

Founded in 1995 by Alan Young, YDC Dance Studios LTD is one of the Midlands Premier Dance Studios and is an appointed UKA Examination Centre. We specialise in Social Ballroom and Latin American Dancing and also Medalist Ballroom and Latin American Competitive work. We enjoy teaching all standards, from beginners to champions.
Chelis School of Dance, situated in Sheldon, Birmingham, has been teaching Children to dance since 1997. Accepting both boys and girls from the age of three, the school offers a range of classes including Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Gymnastics, Freestyle and Theatre Craft. Classes are kept small to ensure individual attention and are taken by qualified teachers who are very passionate about what they do.
Hi I'm Michelle Nevin, Principal of Arabesque School of Dance. I am a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and the International Dance Teachers Association and have over 20 years teaching experience of all ages, from children aged 2 through to adults.
We teach Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz following the IDTA syllabus which focuses on strong technique whilst retaining an element of fun to keep the pupils engaged at all times. We pride ourselves on preparing and inspiring our students to pass their exams with flying colours. A large percentage of our students consistently achieve 'Honours' and 'Distinctions' as a result of their determination and hard work, mirroring the ethos of the dedicated teaching team.
