Children are invited from 2.5 years of age to participate in a Nursery dance class, giving an insight into Ballet and Tap. Classes are held in a fun environment with a disciplined and playful approach, helping children to develop their skills through mime, musicality and expressive movement. Once children are proficient and confident at this level they are encouraged to take examinations with the British Ballet Organisation (BBO) in Ballet, Tap and Modern.
Pole Dancing is a form of performance art - a combination of sensual dancing and gymnastics on a vertical pole. Here at the British Pole Dance Academy we perform more athletic moves such as climbs, spins and body inversions (upside down). We see fitness as a by product of Pole Dancing and do NOT run our classes like an aerobics class.
