I started my dancing career as a student for 14yr at a premier dance school in my native Scotland. I learned modern, jazz, disco, tap, majorettes, ballroom and Latin American dance. In 1991 I waslucky enough to receive the highest award to be held in dance - called the "Le Classique de Dance Award" for being a prominent member of the best dance troup in Britain. I then went on to receive a scholarship for entry into the Brian Rogers Performance Dance College in Essex.
Established in 1982, our teaching methods are traditional and formal, but ample opportunity is given for creative activities. Examinations are undertaken through the International Dance TeachersAssociation (IDTA) in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz from grades and major syllabi to graduate and professional qualifications. Pupils also take part in regular festivals, presentations and shows. All of our classes take place in Cottingham, East Yorkshire.

Taking part in dance shows is important to Just Dance. Participation in these events provides the pupils with the opportunity to build confidence and skill in performance, in an environment where theycan bond and observe each other to improve. We are keen to recognise progress, and often enter our pupils into dance exams and competitions. This provides individual goals, and helps to perfect techniques which have been learned.
